OUR STORY
Why we do
what we do.
Golden Days Outings ACT was founded on the simple belief that
genuine human connection is the most powerful thing
we can offer Seniors.

A PERSONAL MISSION
Connection,
not a checklist.
I believe that growing older should never mean growing isolated. Somewhere along the way, so many Seniors quietly step back from the life they once loved — the café they visited every week, the garden they used to walk through, the simple joy of going somewhere with someone who genuinely wants to be there. I started Golden Days Outings ACT to change that.
I live right here in Canberra, and Golden Days is run personally by me — not a roster of rotating staff, not a call centre, just me. When I visit, I'm not checking a box or watching the clock. I'm there to sit, to listen, to learn the stories that matter to someone, and to share in their day as a friend would.
A visit might mean a cup of tea and a long conversation about someone's life — their childhood, their work, the places they've travelled. It might mean a slow walk through the garden, a game of cards, or simply quiet company on a Tuesday afternoon. Every visit, every outing, every phone call is shaped entirely around the person in front of me.
Many of the families I work with live interstate or are simply stretched thin with busy lives here in Canberra.
After every visit, I send a personal update so even from a distance, you know your loved one had a good day and you know what the visit entailed.
If your parent or you, could use a familiar face to look forward to, I would love to meet them. Give me a call, and let's have a chat about what a Golden Day could look like.
